Few things are as interesting to me as how people work. Specifically how I work. The first time I took Strengthfinders, I printed everything off and organized it in a binder with tabs before I read anything. One of the first statements was about over-the-top, organized research. "I don't do that," I say to myself as I carefully lay out my colored highlighters. One of the most insightful systems to hit the brain waves recently {although it's been around for actual centuries} is Enneagram. Digging into the emotions and drivers behind human action. What propels how we respond to situations and what effects do stress and growth have on that?
As a foster parent, having any looking glass into human behavior is valuable. {Although typecasting others can be a no-no and very dangerous.} Having greater insight to my responses and where I head during stress can also help me recognize and regulate {when I'm in a healthy place, let's be real} which ultimately helps me be better equipped to be the adult in situations. I'm beyond excited to be heading up the new Enneagram series with Houston Moms! Get started with us by checking out this intro, then stay with us for the next nine months while we dig into each type. xoxo
