When we first adopted Sadie, we knew she was special. Something in her demeanor, the way she carried herself. She was a little skittish sometimes but the happiest little bundle of fur in the entire world. Every time she'd eat, even to this day, she wags her tail the entire time. She loves her family and her home—despite her rough beginning. And it wasn't until I sat with one of our fosters telling him Sadie's tale, that I realized how closely their stars aligned. Sadie quickly became a support dog to our foster loves. Even though she couldn't speak their language, she spoke to their hearts. They saw themselves in her story and she loved them unconditionally. It's hard for all of us when they leave but especially our Sadie love. It's like saying goodbye to her puppies.
But she's always ready to say hello again. Learn more of her story on Houston Moms Blog.
