One day a dear and lovely friend left me a message:
"Hey friend! It's Sarah...I've been meaning to ask you for a while, I have a friend that sells Noonday Collection. My friend had a party at her house...well anyway, normally Noonday will match when there's an adoption show. So I was thinking it's time for Christmas shopping...I'd love to host one of those with you being the adoption beneficiary! If you guys are okay with that...so talk to Will, see what y'all think, and we can look at the calendar for dates if you want to do it. I've been praying for you guys! I know that the process is long and you're doing training and all of that stuff, but I'm praying for your children. Can't wait for the days when we can all sit around and watch our kids play, looking back on the days when it was so hard to picture where they would come from or when...so hopeful for you guys." The process is long. It can be very trying, overwhelming, and there are days when I am so emotionally exhausted just thinking about what is left to do and what has yet to come. My soul is often drained praying for the children and the families that are involved in the foster care system. But then, my tribe, my community of caring friends and family come alongside us and offer incredible acts of kindness that patch my heart and refill my soul.
